DiCaprio to play serial killer

Leonardo DiCaprio got the main role in the movie based on the true story of the book "The Devil in the White City"

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio will star in the film adaptation of the book by American journalist and documentary filmmaker Erik Larson's "The Devil in the White City", reports Deadline. Appointed director Martin Scorsese, who has worked with the actor on five films. A rolling graph pattern is not specified.
Larson's work is based on real events. It is assumed that DiCaprio will play a serial killer Henry Holmes - the owner of the hotel in Chicago which, according to various sources, killed 50 to 200 of its residents in 1893, during the World's Columbian Exhibition. In 1894, Holmes was arrested and hanged two years later. Prior to execution he confessed to killing only 27 people.
"White City" was named one of the largest architectural exhibits - built of gypsum city quarter, comprising 400 temporary pavilions in the style of neo-classicism and modern.
For the first time about the film adaptation of the book Larson spoke in 2010. Then the main role DiCaprio also considered, but the director never found, and later froze the project.
The closest the film with the actor - "Survivor" - will appear on the screens in December 2015. It was directed by "Berdmena" Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. With Scorsese DiCaprio has worked on the film "Gangs of New York", "The Wolf of Wall Street," "The Departed," "Shutter Island" and "The Aviator."
